Tim Herron Great Golfer    
He played on the Nationwide Tour in 1995, and the following season he won for the first time on the PGA Tour at the Honda Classic. He won three times in his first four seasons at the top level. He continued to play consistently after that, but there was a seven year gap before he claimed his fourth PGA Tour title at the 2006 Bank of America Colonial. : Born February 6, 1970 - Minneapolis, Minnesota USA    

 

Biography

Tim Herron

Herron was a first team All-American in 1992 &1993 at the University of New Mexico and in '93 played on the U.S. Walker Cup Team, going 3-0 at Interlachen in his home state of Minnesota. He earned his PGA Tour card with a 12th place finish at 1995 Q-School.

He won his seventh start on the PGA Tour, taking the 1996 Honda Classic wire-to-wire after an opening round 62. . . His nickname is "Lumpy.". . .Grandfather Carson Lee Herron played in the 1934 U.S. Open and won state titles in Minnesota and Iowa. . . His father, Carson, played in 1963 U.S. Open. . . Is one of only two players that has defeated Tiger Woods in the U.S. Amateur, defeating Woods in the second round in 1992.
