Biography
Gayle Hitchens Borthwick Inducted into the Canadian Hall of Fame: 1997
The daughter of a golf professional, Gayle Borthwick has proven she knows a thing or two about golf the past 40 years. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Gayle moved to British Columbia as a teen where she wrapped up the provincial title in 1962 and won the Canadian Amateur and the 1994 Canadian Senior, as well as numerous provincial titles. In 1996 Borthwick won her first international solo title, the U.S. Women's Senior Championship. Now a resident of Ontario, Gayle Borthwick has also given many hours as a volunteer in golf administration and fund raising.
